The crown jewel of the ICA Council on Chiropractic Philosophy is the 300+ hr Diplomate in Philosophical Chiropractic Standards. The program has produced some of the finest philosophic minds in the profession.
This course is an intense study of Chiropractic theory and its application to practice and patient care. “The degree of D.C., Doctor of Chiropractic, means learned in the science of Chiropractic, for the word doctor, is derived from the Latin word, doctus, meaning learned. Later, when the course was extended so that students could become more proficient in Chiropractic, the degree of Ph.C. was established. Ph.C. means Philosopher of Chiropractic. A graduate with a Ph.C., in addition to being a Doctor is also a Philosopher.” So wrote Ralph Stevenson in 1927.
Chiropractors who have completed year one and have their LCP, ACP, or SCP are eligible to enroll in years two and three.
The pride these graduates show in their depth of understanding of how to apply our unique philosophy is well earned. This program is the only one of its kind and is lauded by both practitioners and educators as the preeminent post-graduate course in Chiropractic study.
